DANGER ZOOOOOOONE.

I'm so excited about this. I thought we'd see this on XBLA in 2007, but better late than never. Now that we have TMNT and X-Men, we just need The Simpsons Arcade to complete my childhood arcade beat 'em up trifecta.Tom the Cat wrote:Link to X-Men Arcade game video.

After watching some videos, the physics is the most infuriating of the three. Looks way too easy to get stuck on inclines.Gretyl wrote:yeah, that's enough for me to be cynical as all hell about IGN's other reviews.![]()
the music, level design and even the fucking acceleration physics are all clownshoes. try before you buy, but I think the Sonic Curse is still holding strong

I'm in the same boat as you. Multiple PCs and some older consoles but none of the latest gen consoles. Seen too many people get bored with wiis to blow money on one. X360 seems lik a poor value 4 years after release.nippletwister wrote:I'm like the only guy in America who can't play this because all I have is a PS2 and a PC.

So, I played the demo tonight, and they are really close to making an above-average platformer, if only the running acceleration was faster and the jumping didn't feel so floaty. It's really close to being fun, but far enough away to be frustrating.Gretyl wrote:oh no, that's also a level design fail. that and they're way too strict about the special zones' jump timing. you only get one shot :bigolesonicfag:

Artemis is a multiplayer, multi-computer networked game for Windows computers.
Artemis simulates a spaceship bridge by networking several computers together. One computer runs the simulation and the "main screen", while the others serve as workstations for the normal jobs a bridge officer might do, like Helm, Communication, Engineering, and Weapon Control.
Artemis is a social game where several players are together in one room ("bridge") , and while they all work together, one player plays the Captain, a person who sits in the middle, doesn't have a workstation, and tells everyone what to do.
Want to get the whole game free? It's simple!
1. Get the demo
2. Get together with your buddies and play
3. Get video of you playing the game, use your cheap flipcam or something. Make it 1 minute or longer
4. Post the video on YouTube for the whole world to see
5. Email me about it and attach a still pic of your crew, so I can see it's really you
6. I'll give you a download link, so you and your crew can have the full version!
It's just that simple. Make a YouTube video of you enjoying Artemis, and I'll give you the full version.

That makes it the largest entertainment launch in history. And Black Ops is not just a popular game. It's a very popular game. More popular than Modern Warfare 2 was one year ago, its creators said today.
Activision executive Thomas Tippl told an audience of investors in New York that Black Ops has sold $360 million worth of copies in its first 24 hours of release in North America and the U.K. this week, compared to $310 million in the first day of release for Modern Warfare 2 a year ago. Modern Warfare 2 sold a mere 4.7 million copies.

Rent or buy a cheap copy of MW or MW2 and try it out. If you think you like the general architecture, you'll probably like Black Ops.Cody wrote:I liked Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter. I think that's the only one of these modern military type shooters I've ever played. Would I like Black Ops?
