I'll occasionally have some iced Republic of Tea's green tea. It's not that I particularly care for it. It's just that sometimes I want some caffeine without all that HFCS and crap in sodas.

I also like green, chai, and chinese oolong.

I haven't fallen entirely in love with tea yet, but I like the Jasmine dragon pearl tea. I have to put two packs of sugar in it though.

Tea.

Hahahahahahahhaha

On an average day I drink 10 cups of tea.

I enjoy Roobis, various Green Teas, various black teas, and Pu-erh. I also enjoy some herbal infusions, but I usually don't go for flavored teas.

I got some of this from stashtea. It was really good and it's cool to see the little pearls open. I'm not sure why you would want to ruin it with sugar however.

What's the best way to prepare the Pu-erh? I've seen it in shops but never bought any because i wasn't exactly sure how to brew it.

the scarlet tea at stomping grounds is awesome. i also drink puerh, silver needle, green tea (just some generic I got at gong fu), and rooibos. I just let the puerh steep for 5 minutes or so in boiling hot water. it makes a very strong tea. it takes some getting used to, but it's delicious. gong fu sells a ginger puerh that's excellent.

Scarlet is amazing. I drink a variety of tea. I was always anti tea with milk or cream, but when I flew British Airways I had to try it (getting the full experience) Since then, I've loved it. I really like mint tea, jasmine tea, and your generic chai (plain or with milk and sugar)

In the summer, iced green tea with honey. In winter, I drink a variety, but my all time fav thus far is Stash Wintermint. I also like ginger peach, orange cinnamon, and a weird ginger, orange, mint blend that I originally started drinking in hopes of getting rid of a stomach ache, but is actually pretty damn good. I probably have about....25 kinds of tea in my cupboard right now

ginger orange and mint eh? I got some indian spice tea mix (it's mostly fennel seed) and i put a bunch of fresh ginger in with it. it was quite good.

i was never a big fan of icing green tea. It loses it's appeal and flavor when it's iced. i usually oversteep EG and then ice it.

My co-worker went to China and brought back a bunch of this stuff (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tieguanyin). Apparently it's pretty expensive even in China, and it tastes wonderful. I would describe it as flowery like jasmine but much more mellow.

Edit: just checked the price...it's about $100-200/pound here...fuckkkk.

I can't stop drinking blended chai. I'm tempted to buy the starbux premix that you just add milk to. Does that make me a bad person? Should I be buying the chai somewhere else? I'm fond of the starbux, so I don't know which types of chai are the most similar to the type that I like. Any suggestions?

at a couple hundred calories per serving you might want to try to transition to some other form of tea preparation. Every little bit counts!

Cripes, how much tea do you drink? I don't know if I could ever get through a pound of tea. But I have bought ti quan yin at gong fu, and it was pretty reasonably priced for the fact that I was only buying a couple ounces and it lasted several months...

I've been drinking elaichi tea. I'm not sure, but I think elaichi is the same thing as cardamom. I think it's just a plain tea with elaichi in it and it comes out frothy and sweet. It's quite nice and seems to be very popular here.

Bigelow raspberry and orange teas are good stuff. Yes I like fruity teas, but also whatever they use at chinese restaurants(would be better freshly brewed, but still good)

If you're going to be sweetening it with sugar, make up some simple sugar so you don't have the pain in the ass of trying to stir granular sugar in.

A variety of this tea from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian is called Monkey-Picked. This comes from the lovely story that monkeys were trained by Buddhist monks to pick the youngest leaves of the wild species of tea plants that grew on high cliff faces and such inaccessible places in this area. It is considered the best of the oolong tea varieties.

Hmm... would be worth buying if this is true. No need to worry about the labor conditions since no humans were involved.

About every 6 months I try honestly to like tea. It never catches on, I just do not like any kind of tea, and I've had dozens and dozens of kinds in the hope that ONE of them will be good to me.

I guess I just don't get it. If I want caffeine, I want coffe. I guess I'm just not into subtlety.

I don't think either of those are consumed for flavor, so what are you trying to say?

I forgot how good these Jasmine blooms are...right now I'm drinking my 3rd cup brewed from the same bloom:

Just picked up some Yerba Mate, Sweet Fruit Garden, Carribean Breeze, and Keemum Imperial from Teavana courtesy of a holiday gift card. Thought I would spread out a little. If there are any Mate drinkers on here, it's currently on sale at Teavana for $1/oz.
